our responsibility in our economy

Money as we all know is a medium of exchange, and it does much more, beyond the briefing, like all medium which is suppose to create links, goes beyond the limit and influences the decisions, as we know the popular book, “the medium is the message “phrase popularized by Marshall Mc Luhan, in the famous book, Understanding media the extension of man, money too, is doing more than just facilitating the process of transactions.
In today’s scenario, where nations compete with each other to capture markets well beyond the geographical boundaries, the transactions among currencies play a vital role in the economic and social growth of a country.
Price of a product is mentioned in terms of currencies and the prices of the currencies are mentioned in terms of other currencies, i.e. the value of the Rupee in terms of dollars, and the value of the dollar in terms of Euro etc., like all other prices, a price of a commodity is determined by the relative demand and supply of the currency, if you personally would like the price of dollar to come down, meaning if you want the rupee to be valued a little more to a dollar, then, we need to reduce our demand for dollar, as we do not have any control over the supply of dollar.
How do we reduce the demand for dollar?
Even though we do not directly demand dollar, to a large extent, the demand that we make for products, which is being bought using dollars, then, our currency goes on to buy that currency and then buys the product, so, our demand for foreign goods invariably results in our demand for foreign currencies.
Now, what is wrong, let us demand foreign currency, let the value fluctuate, what is the problem?
When spending money, please look at where does the money go? Every transaction, changes the value of money, and it influences, employment, poverty, growth, quality etc.
The demand that you make for a Korean or a Japanese product, increases the sale of that product in that country, employing more people of that country, and increases the GDP of that country.
When in the early 90s when we opened up our economy, we were aware of these risks, but we thought, that we would also go out of our country in search of greener pastures for our product and services and earn valuable foreign exchange.
Now, the bottom line is simple, we need to increase the demand for Indian currencies, making it more valuable. How do we do it?
Buy Indian, and make people of other countries too to buy Indian.
The normal thinking is that products made in India are of inferior quality, this is merely an image that we have created for ourselves. Which, is far from truth, Indians by nature are simpletons, we do not go by cheap feelings that is why, and traditionally we have not invested a lot on hype creations, which is good in a way. But, westerners knew the art of selling pseudo satisfactions, they sell happiness which is inherent in you and make you feel as if you get it only by buying that product, we should not be fooled by these gimmicks. So, instead of looking at all the marketing stunts, let us look at the actual deliverables and the quality of the product. Not, the perceived and felt quality but the actual quality.
This blog is dedicated to bringing you the value of Indian products.

Our Traditional wisdom, teaches us things which will make us, wealthy, healthy and blissful, the products that our TW recommends are not only indigenous, but also contributes to the bliss.
